Superior Township Supervisor

"By focusing on integrity, transparency, and community engagement, I aim to rebuild trust and ensure our governing body truly represents and serves the people of Superior Township."

My Why?

To Change the Culture in Politics

Brian With Friends

I’m running for Supervisor because I think we’ve been doing politics wrong for so many years, it has become the most divisive topic in the country. Our elected officials have exploited their power and platform to divide and isolate us, rather than uniting us and encouraging us to seek common ground.

I believe that politics and media set the tone for how we treat each other and the way people have been treating each other in politics is absolutely disgusting. Agenda’s and sides have taken precedence over the people. You pick a team and if the other person isn’t on your team, then they’re the enemy.

It doesn’t need to be this way and that’s why I’m running for supervisor. My superpower is bringing people together and I can’t sit back and watch families be destroyed, my neighbors be ignored, and selfish politicians put themselves over the people!

My Plan:

Bringing People Together

My primary goal is to create a culture where residents feel heard, included, and take pride in who we are! While Superior Township has ample resources, we currently lack sufficient ways to connect with each other. My superpower is bringing people together, and my vision is to foster a stronger sense of community. To achieve this, I plan to:

Facilitate connections between seasoned business owners and young aspiring entrepreneurs to foster mentorship and growth.

Host weekly concerts in the park to provide a regular, informal gathering space for all community members.

Offer ongoing workshops and classes on topics such as financial literacy, rebuilding credit, networking, and entrepreneurship.

Develop youth programs that teach essential skills, ranging from farming to starting a business.

By leveraging local talent and resources, I aim to create vibrant, engaging community activities without straining our budget. My commitment is to build a more connected and supportive Superior Township.

I Believe:

We're Superior Together

Brian and Angie with University of Michigan Cheerleaders

The greatest asset of Superior Township is its people. Our residents are amazing, caring, and committed to the greater good. We look out for each other, care about the environment, and strive to make our community better. Our second greatest asset is our land (Greenspace). Superior Township is a beautiful place with nature preserves, a rare commodity in an era of rapid development. My plan to help the community thrive involves elevating and promoting these assets.

To achieve this, I will:

  • Showcase the talents and businesses of our residents, while creating events and space for mom-and-pop shops.
  • Organize events such as concerts, craft shows, and community gatherings to draw people to our beautiful parks.
  • Develop community gardens and promote camping opportunities to encourage outdoor activities and environmental stewardship.
  • Youth camps, facilitating enrichment and learning.
  • By highlighting our people and preserving our natural beauty, we can foster a thriving, connected, and vibrant community in Superior Township. We're Superior together!

You can count on Brian to...

    Lead by example

Build you up, not tear you down

    Be honest with you

    Show up

    Take accountability

Put the residents above myself (It’s about you)

Continually work on being a better me

    Listen with an open mind

    To be a serving leader

To apologize when I’m wrong and I work to make it right

Do everything in my power to build up, invest in, and promote our youth

    The Change Thats Coming:

    change

The divisiveness within our governing body, resulting in negative press, lawsuits, and charges against board members. This misrepresentation undermines the trust of our residents. My mission will be to restore faith and integrity in our office, ensuring residents know we are here to serve them.

    To achieve this, I will:

  • Promote transparency by regularly updating the community on board activities and decisions.
  • Foster open communication through town hall meetings and accessible forums for resident input.
  • Implement strict ethical standards and accountability measures for all board members.
  • Highlight and support the positive contributions of our residents, showcasing the good happening in Superior Township.
  • Leverage our differences to make us stronger, rather than divide us.
  • By focusing on integrity, transparency, and community engagement, I aim to rebuild trust and ensure our governing body truly represents and serves the people of Superior Township.
